Lost but in Memories

Our family hasn't been able to receive any hand downs or any antiques due to the Genocide. Other than this copper gourde that my father had found when he was a child, Almost everything was left behind. My family started out with nothing and with hard work, and stacks of documents to become US citizens, they were able to support their family till this very day. My parents said before all of the tragic events, Cambodia was a growing, vibrant country almost just like Hollywood! The family was pulling off so many different styles and were all stlyish!

Family Origin

A majority of the family,
and then imagine each of them having a lot of children.

My great grandparents
My family originated from Battambang, Kampuchea , also known as Cambodia. Our primary language is Khmer. My family consist of a very large amount in the family tree. During the horrible genocide of the Khmer Rouge, my family was forced to flee the country to Thailand , fled to the Philippines and finally from all their struggle, to the United States in which we are residing in this very day.

Although a decent amount of the family was able to flee, a majority of my family was left behind. After all the tragic events with sweat and tears, they have finally been able to live in peace. With my siblings, cousins, niece, nephews and myself being born of course.
